Ideas about the rules of the game

People have some strong ideas about what "the" family really is. But of course families can look really different from each other and also mean very different things to different people. Does your own family make you happy? To what sort of family would you like to belong? Which ones look like they might be helpful for their members and the rest of society and which ones look less promising?
